Free Etsy Profit Spreadsheet: Excel and Google Sheets Template

Last verified: November 1, 2026

Etsy shows you sales, not profit. This free Etsy profit spreadsheet takes each order, subtracts Etsy's fees and your own costs, and shows what you actually keep per order, per product and per hour of work. It works in Excel and in Google Sheets and is built for US sellers.

What the template does

  • Calculates Etsy's fees on every order: the 6.5% transaction fee, 3% + $0.25 payment processing, the $0.20 listing fee and, if the order came from an Offsite Ad, the 15% or 12% Offsite Ads fee (capped at $100).
  • Subtracts your materials, packaging and shipping label to show your profit and margin for each order.
  • Shows profit per hour, so you can see whether a slow-to-make product is really worth your time.
  • Rolls everything up by product and flags the ones below the margin you set.

The fee rates are Etsy's published US rates, verified on November 1, 2026. They sit on one Settings tab, so you can update them if Etsy changes them.

How it works in three steps

  1. Download the template. Enter your email below and confirm it; the file arrives right after.
  2. Enter your orders. One row per order: price, shipping charged, your costs, time spent, and whether it came from an Offsite Ad. The fees and profit calculate themselves.
  3. Read the By product tab. Type your product names once and see profit, margin and profit per hour for each one.

A worked example

A $30 print with free shipping, $7.00 in materials and $4.80 for the label leaves you $14.90 (a 50% margin). If the same order came from an Offsite Ad at 15%, the fee is $4.50 and your profit drops to $10.40 (35%). The template does this math for every order you enter. For the full fee breakdown, see Etsy Fees Explained and the Offsite Ads guide.

What the spreadsheet does not do

A spreadsheet you fill in by hand has limits, and it is better to know them up front:

  • US rates only. Other countries have different rates and VAT on fees, which the template does not handle.
  • Manual entry. Every order is typed in by you.
  • No refunds or fee corrections. Partial refunds, renewals of a listing and shipping label adjustments are not modelled.
  • No currency conversion fees and no Regulatory Operating Fees.
  • No history or tax export. It is one file on your computer.

It is an estimate for planning and pricing, not an accounting record or tax advice.

Best forLearning your numbers, a few orders a monthShops where typing every order has become a chore

The spreadsheet is a good place to start: you learn which products earn and which lose money. If you keep it up and the typing becomes a chore, CraftKept does the same job from your payment statement. If you sell fewer orders, the spreadsheet may be all you need.

What is CraftKept?

CraftKept is an Etsy profit tracker. You upload your Etsy payment statement, and it shows what you really keep: profit per order and per product, a monthly overview, and the fees Etsy charged by category. It also has a tax export and keeps a history of your imports. You can try it for $1 for the first 30 days, then it costs $4.99 per month. See how CraftKept works.

Frequently asked questions

Does the template work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the file to Google Drive, open it, and choose File > Save as Google Sheets (or use File > Import from inside Sheets). Formulas, dropdowns and formatting carry over; take a quick look at the Yes/No dropdown on the Orders tab after importing.

Is it really free?

Yes. You enter your email, confirm it, and get the file. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

US sellers. For other countries, use the free calculator, which covers 9 countries, or edit the rates on the Settings tab knowing that VAT on fees is not handled.

Can I use it for my taxes?

What is not included in the fee calculation?

Currency conversion fees, refunds, listing renewals, shipping label adjustments, Regulatory Operating Fees and Etsy Ads (on-site ads).
